The grapes are fermented separately in traditional Armenian karasses, three-quarters buried in the ground. Aged for approximately two years in a mix of clay amphorae (karasses) and unlined concrete vats, followed by 12 months in bottle. On the palate, it is a full-bodied wine, with robust tannins and notes of berries, pomegranate, and licorice.
