Description
What type of wine it is
The Alta Langa Blanc de Noirs Brut by Mirafiore is an organic Piedmontese sparkling wine produced according to the rigorous Traditional Method. Obtained exclusively from the white vinification of Pinot Noir grapes, it appears in the glass with a straw-yellow hue streaked with golden highlights and a fine, persistent perlage. The olfactory profile expresses clear scents of white-fleshed fruit, aromas of dried fruit and a fragrant note of bread crust. On the palate, the dry profile determined by the Brut dosage enhances a firm structure combined with the creaminess of the mousse, closing with a dynamic and satisfying sip.
Where it comes from
This sparkling wine draws its identity from the Alta Langa region, specifically originating from the vineyards of Serralunga d'Alba. The vines take root in soils composed of white clay, which alternates with draining layers of calcareous sands. This precise soil composition is essential for imparting a distinct savoury finish to the wine, while supporting the balance of the gustatory texture. The territory of origin provides a strong character, ideal for enhancing the structural qualities of the grape variety and defining an elegant and consistent profile.
How it is produced
The production process respects the strict standards of organic and vegan viticulture. Following the Traditional Method, the base wine undergoes a fermentation period of about twenty days, preparing for the secondary fermentation and the decisive second fermentation in the bottle. The balanced dosage keeps the tasting clean and crisp, faithful to the nature of the fruit. This precise winemaking technique shapes the structure of the Pinot Noir, giving the glass a long finish and a marked freshness, authentically reflecting the character of the raw material.

Since 1878, Casa E. Di Mirafiore has been overlooking this UNESCO world heritage landscape with his estates in Barolo and Serralunga, the heart of one of the world's most famous wines: Barolo. It is also thanks to Casa E. Di Mirafiore that the world is aware of Barolo. It is in fact the first winery to export Barolo worldwide.
This estate is synonymous with quality, as it is home to two of the best Cru vineyards in the Langhe: Lazzarito (on one of Serralunga d'Alba's most magnificent slopes) and Paiagallo.
In this town, Serralunga d'Alba, tradition is never forgotten. Even today, the style of Casa E. Mirafiore is defined by fermentation in concrete tanks and enormous Slavonian oak barrels for ageing. Read more
