Description
What type of wine it is
Hofstätter's De Vite is a still white wine with the Vigneti delle Dolomiti typical geographical indication, an authentic expression of Trentino Alto Adige, vinified in steel. This blend of Pinot Blanc, Müller Thurgau, Sauvignon, and Riesling releases a bouquet of green apple and lemon verbena, enriched by white flowers, peach, and a touch of vanilla. On the palate, it is dry, lively, and smooth, supported by a pleasant freshness. Thanks to its fine acidity, it pairs ideally with elegant aperitifs and seafood starters, shellfish, and white meats.
Where it comes from
This white wine originates in the Vigneti Delle Dolomiti area, a territory that benefits from an Alpine climate ideal for the aromatic development of the grapes. The vines grow on plots well-exposed to the sun, rooted in rocky and marly soils. This geological composition, light and capable of warming up quickly, gives the wine a vibrant minerality and a defined territorial footprint. The mountain environment ensures an agile character, a faithful expression of the winemaking care started in Termeno in the early 20th century.
How it is produced
In the cellar, the aim is to enhance the purity of the raw material through a gentle pressing of the bunches. The must is clarified via natural precipitation before fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, a process that preserves the integrity of the grapes' original aromas. Before bottling, a short ageing in steel consolidates the structure of the wine, resulting in a linear and dry profile, characterised by a clean and persistent finish.
