Description
What type of wine it is
Corte Giara Bardolino by Allegrini is a fresh and elegant still red wine. It originates from a typical blend of the Veneto region, composed of Corvina Veronese, Rondinella and Molinara. This Bardolino stands out for its easy-drinking, dry and harmonious style. In the glass, it reveals a fragrant profile, dominated by fruity notes of small woodland berries and light spicy nuances. Its delicately velvety tannins and its succulence make for a smooth and pleasant sip, ideal for those looking for a light-bodied red with vibrant freshness, vinified and aged in stainless steel.
Where it comes from
This Veronese red comes from the picturesque morainic hills located near Lake Garda, in Veneto. The soils of fluvio-glacial origin, well-structured and drained, guarantee optimal conditions for vine cultivation. The local microclimate and the south-westerly exposure favour a balanced ripening of the grapes, preserving freshness and aromatic complexity. The vines, cultivated using the traditional pergola system, have an average age of about thirty years, allowing for high-quality bunches that faithfully reflect the character of the territory.
How it is produced
The production of this Bardolino involves a manual harvest of the grapes, which generally takes place in the second half of September. In the cellar, the grapes are destemmed and subjected to a soft pressing. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, for a period of between eight and ten days, in order to preserve the fragrance of the primary aromas as much as possible. This is followed by malolactic fermentation and an ageing period of three months, also in stainless steel, before a short final rest. This vinification technique enhances the freshness and integrity of the fruit.
History and Trivia
The Corte Giara Bardolino 2025 celebrates the Allegrini family's dedication to the Veneto region, a bond established in 1989. The name itself is a sincere tribute to the rural courtyard of Fumane, the ancient family home that inspires the company's entire agricultural vision. Produced on the morainic hills of Lake Garda, from historic thirty-year-old vines trained on pergolas, it embodies a modern interpretation of Veronese artisanal tradition. Curiously, this label has even managed to conquer exotic international markets such as Azerbaijan and distant Kazakhstan.
