Description
What kind of wine it is
Message in a Bottle from Tenuta Il Palagio is an organic red wine with a Tuscan Indicazione Geografica Tipica (IGT) status, the result of a harmonious blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Syrah. On the palate, it expresses a medium body, supported by a well-balanced acidity and a pleasant freshness. The velvety tannins guarantee a dry and persistent sip. The olfactory bouquet is dominated by intense aromas of cherry, wild blackberry and blackcurrant, accompanied by fine spicy nuances leading towards a clean finish.
Where it comes from
The grapes come from vineyards cultivated under organic management on the Tuscan hills of Figline Valdarno. In this area located between Florence and Siena, the land gives life to a juicy red, ideal for pairing with grilled meats and game. Its marked softness makes it the perfect companion also for structured first courses and selections of matured cheeses.
How it is produced
The vinification begins with fermentation in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature, conducted by indigenous yeasts. Maceration on the skins for about a week guarantees optimal colour and aromatic extraction. Ageing continues for twelve months in French oak barrels, which smooth the wine's structure while preserving the integrity of the fruit. The result is a precise sip, characterised by a round, harmonious flavour profile and remarkable persistence.
