Description
What kind of wine it is
Cesarini Sforza 1673 Trento Brut Rosé is a rosé sparkling wine that enhances Pinot Noir grapes through the Traditional Method. An authentic expression of the Trento territory, it is distinguished by its delicate antique pink colour and a very fine perlage. On the nose, it reveals clear aromas of blackberry and blueberry, with a slight final touch of strawberry. The palate impresses with its silky texture, with hints of rosehip, ripe cherry and marzipan, finishing with a distinct sapidity ideal for accompanying light starters.
Where it comes from
The vineyards are located in the prestigious Cembra Valley, a mountainous area of Trentino-Alto Adige situated between 450 and 600 metres above sea level. The south and south-west exposure ensures optimal ripening of the bunches. The vines take root in fluvio-glacial soils that are loose and sandy, resulting from the weathering of porphyritic rocks. This specific geological matrix gives the sparkling wine its savoury character and defines the red fruit notes with extreme clarity.
How it is produced
The process begins in September with the manual harvest and soft pressing of the bunches. After fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks and a rest of eight months on the fine lees, the second fermentation begins. The Traditional Method here requires a stay of at least sixty months on the lees, a slow rest that defines the complex structure of the wine. This Brut sparkling wine thus achieves a harmonious balance, combining freshness and a vibrant aromatic richness.
